Sony today officially introduced their latest flagship smartphone for 2024, the Sony Xperia 1 VI.
Sony's flagship phone this time brings a big change in terms of screen ratio, which no longer uses a 21:9 ratio screen as before, but has been changed to a 19.5:9 ratio like some other devices. In terms of screen size, it now comes with a 6.5-inch screen, as well as support for a brightness rate of up to 1300-nits.
Powering this smartphone is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, memory up to 12GB RAM, and storage options up to 512GB. It is also equipped with a 5000mAh battery with 30W charging support. Sony says the phone's battery capacity can remain up to 80% after 8 years of use.
The Sony Xperia 1 VI also comes with a 48-megapixel main camera along with a telephoto lens and an ultra-wide sensor. Sony is emphasizing the smartphone's camera capabilities through updates to the camera app, as well as a physical button to take pictures on the side of the device. Sony has also included 3.5mm audio jack support on this smartphone.
Sony aims to market this smartphone in Malaysia by July 2024. The selling price is still unknown for now.
