Vivo X100 Ultra Launched With Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Chip And 200MP Camera

It seems to be a trend when there are a handful of developers who use the Ultra name in marketing the most powerful devices. Most recently the Vivo X100 Ultra has been announced in China with brand new specifications including an advanced camera system.

Through the Ultra model, the 1″ 50MP Sony LYT-900 main camera is used with a matching 1/1.4″ 200MP ISOCELL HP9 (telephoto) and 50MP Sony LYT-600 (ultra-wide) sensors. Vivo developed the 200MP telephoto sensor in collaboration with Samsung. It is also equipped with ZEISS T* Coating which is said to be able to reduce light reflection for brighter night images. Followed by the Vivo V3+ imaging chip for 4K portrait video recording and the BlueImage algorithm for better low-light shots.

Moving on to other specifications, a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate is used. The screen also offers Dolby Vision along with a peak brightness of 3000 nits. This is paired with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip suitable for a flagship class device along with a memory option of up to 16RAM and 1TB of internal storage.

The device also runs the latest OriginOS 4.0 operating system based on Android 14. A 5,500mAh battery is also included that supports 80W wired and 30W wireless fast charging. It also supports 5.5G satellite and two-way connectivity in China, along with standard connectivity options such as 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and IP69 & IP68 waterproofing. The selling price starts at RMB6,499 (~RM4,243) reaching RMB7999 (~RM5,223) which is also given the option of Titanium.
