Which Chip Is More Powerful? – Comparison of Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, A17 Pro and Dimensity 9300



This week the Poco F6 was launched and it is sold in Malaysia at a starting price of RM1799 which makes it a very affordable device. It is equipped with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip which is marketed as the more affordable Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. So what is the difference between 8s Gen 3 and other flagship chips Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, Snapdragon 8 Gen2, Apple A 17 Pro and Dimensity 9300.

Conclusion


The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is a powerful chip and in the majority of tests scored higher than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. So if you don't want to spend more on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 device, a device with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 like the Poco F6 is an option interesting.



However, the performance gap between Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is very significant. In Antutu the difference is 54%, on Geekbench 6 single core is 44.8%, Geekbench 6 multi core is 68.6% and finally 3DMark Wildlife is 55.6%. So if you're looking for the best Android flagship this year, look for the one equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
