AI Pin Owners Are Instructed To Stop Using Chargers Due To Risk Of Burns

Humane AI Pin is the first "smart pin" on the market with the promise of a virtual assistant so intelligent that you no longer need a smartphone. But the reality is that the software used is not as good as advertised and more tragically the battery life is only a few hours. So when Humane ordered AI Pin owners to stop using the battery charger frame, it created another big problem for the company.

According to a report by The Verge, Humane contacted owners to stop using the Charge Case Accessory that can charge the AI Pin when stored inside due to the risk of fire. The issue only involves the Charge Case Accessory only, so the Battery Booster and Charge Pad that are also given with every purchase are still safe to use. They are currently in the process of finding a new vendor to manufacture a charger frame that is safer to use.

Because AI Pin did not meet sales targets, Humane is reportedly looking for a buyer with the company valued at around $1 billion. The future of AI Pin and Rabbit R1 looks bleak this year as OpenAI, Google and Apple will launch their own AI products in the near future with better software.
