Apple today surpasses Microsoft in terms of the company's market value, making it the most valuable company in the world. Previously, Microsoft topped the list with a market value exceeding $3 trillion.
By current market value, Apple is now worth $3.312 trillion, while Microsoft is in second place with a value of $3.254 trillion. NVIDIA ranks third with a market value of $3.117 trillion.
Apple this week has announced their entry into the artificial intelligence arena through Apple Intelligence which will be integrated into their various devices through future software and operating system updates.
This at the same time shows that various investors are confident in Apple, leading to an increase in the value of the technology company's stock.
