Apple Rejects Meta AI Integration Due to Privacy Issues

Yesterday there were reports that Apple is in talks with Meta to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) models like Llama into their products. But today Bloomberg says Apple has already rejected Meta out of concern over potential user data privacy issues.

Initial discussions were held on non-March but did not proceed. This at the same time denies the WSJ report which says that the discussion is still ongoing. At this time Apple only integrates OpenAI technology on Apple Intelligence to provide answers beyond their AI capabilities and is in talks with Google to integrate Gemini.

Apple's approach to introducing AI on their products differs from other companies because it offers its own cloud service browser to ensure user privacy is guaranteed. However, this Apple Intelligence feature will not be available to users in EU countries due to issues with compliance with the DMA act.
