Apple is now reportedly halting development for the second-generation Apple Vision Pro, instead wanting to focus development on a cheaper version first. The device, which may be known as Apple Vision, is targeted for launch around the end of 2025.
Apple Vision Pro already carries a rather expensive price tag, reaching RM20,000 – at the same time making it not very friendly for ordinary users. By offering a cheaper version, it is expected to increase the adoption rate of the visionOS platform, allowing more content and applications to be developed for it.
At the same time, it is said that Apple has its own challenges in offering devices at a lower price in terms of getting goods and components capable of providing a good experience, and at the same time making the headset lighter and more comfortable to wear.
With so many different reactions from users to the Apple Vision Pro, it's likely that the cheaper version will roughly define the future of the headset device – including its target audience. Let's all look forward to the development of this Apple Vision.
