Just like the previous year, the annual exhibition COMPUTEX 2024 also gathers industry players with the latest technologies and products. This year's theme is Connecting AI which focuses on Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology which is developing very rapidly, and is changing many aspects of modern life.
Acer also did not miss to showcase various products and advanced technologies produced to facilitate the needs of users in every era. By doing so, Acer has succeeded in bringing innovations that change the way users interact in a more modern way. In this article we will list the products exhibited by Acer during the exhibition.
New Acer Swift Series
A range of selected models in the Acer Swift series took center stage at the event. For example, their new Copilot+ laptop, the Acer Swift 14 AI, features various AI features optimized for better productivity. Its internal hardware is powered by Snapdragon X Elite and Snapdragon X Plus CPUs, with both supporting fast NPU (neural processing units) power to enable artificial intelligence tasks to be performed directly on the device.
Matching 32GB LPDDR5X-8533MHz memory and SSD storage up to 1TB NVMe PCIe Gen 4 is also provided. Besides also supporting the latest AI features in Windows 11 which include Recall, Cocreator, Live Caption and Windows Studio Effect. Along with it Acer also showcased their laptops with AMD Ryzen AI 30 series CPUs which will start to be offered around Q3 2024.
New Acer Chromebook Plus Enterprise Series
The new Acer Acer Chromebook Plus Enterprise range comes with CPU options up to Intel Core 7 150U, memory up to 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM, storage up to 512GB PCIe Gen 3 NVMe. Besides also having a 53Wh battery that can last up to 10 hours of use with a single charge. All of them also support enhanced functions including Google AI features for better use.
For example, a web camera with Acer Temporal Noise Reduction (TNR) noise reduction feature as well as an AI feature that improves video quality when used. High-quality dual-speakers with DTS Audio and a WUXGA/FHD IPS LCD screen also complete this new laptop range. Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, two USB Type-C (supporting DisplayPort, USB charging), one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A and HDMI 1.4 are among the connection options provided.
New Acer TravelMate Series
There are four new models available with three of them powered by CPUs up to Intel Core Ultra 7 with Intel Graphics GPU and Intel vPro Enterprise built in for more adequate performance. The three models are Acer TravelMate P6 14 (P614-73), TravelMate P4 Spin 14 (P414RN-54) and TravelMate P4 16. Meanwhile Acer TravelMate P4 14 is the only new TravelMate laptop announced with AMD Ryzen PRO 8040 CPU .
Also supported on the laptop is 64GB DDR5 RAM memory and up to 1TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD storage. Followed by Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 along with I/O options including two USB Type-C (Thunderbolt 4), two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, HDMI 2.0 and a microSD card reader. All of the new TravelMate lineup comes with new AI features like Acer TravelMateSense for quick access to device settings. In addition, there is also a copilot button built into the keyboard that provides suggestions and help for various tasks.
New Acer Predator OLED Series
Acer has added three new Predator monitor options with different sizes in an effort to meet the needs and wants of users. Starting with the smallest size Predator X27U F3 equipped with a 26.5″ OLED display with WQHD resolution. The most prominent of course is the support for a high refresh rate of 480Hz which is believed to be able to offer a good gaming experience. It also has a USB-C port along with two HDMI 2.1 ports for both PC and console support. Also followed is a tripod mounting socket that allows users to connect a web camera or screen light for a better streaming experience.
Continue with two larger monitors sized 31.5″ (Predator X32 X3) and 34″ (Predator X34 X5). Both use the same OLED panel but there are differences in some aspects. For example the Predator X32 X3 offers a 4K screen with a 240Hz refresh rate. It can also still be used in FHD resolution with a faster 480Hz refresh rate if desired. Meanwhile, the Predator X34 X5 has a 1500R curved angle that also supports UW-QHD (3440 x 1440), a 240Hz refresh rate and a 0.03ms response time.
Acer SpatialLabs Eyes Stereo Camera
This camera can be classified as the most interesting product from Acer this year. Its introduction is also certainly an interesting new addition in ensuring that the SpatialLabs network remains relevant and able to be used for many things. Generally Acer SpatialLabs Eyes Stereo Camera can work the same as most existing cameras. It has an 8MP dual-camera on the front along with a built-in 2.41” LCD touch screen on the back that can be used to view photos.
But the most prominent focus is of course more on the ability to make real-time 3D streaming. Next can also be shared directly through supporting platforms such as YouTube, Zoom, Google Meet and Teams. But there are two main components needed for that purpose, which are the camera and the screen that supports Spatial Labs technology.
New Acer Aspire C Series Desktops
Acer's new all-in-one desktop work computer options offer two size options, 23.8″ (Acer Aspire C24) and 27″ (Acer Aspire C27). It also has thin bezels on all sides making the screen-to-body ratio reach 95.7%. Then followed by an IPS LCD FHD panel and an aspect ratio of 16:10. CPU options are up to Intel Core Ultra 7 with matching Intel Graphics GPU, 32GB RAM DDR5 5600MHz memory and 2TB M.2 2280 PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage.
Another feature the desktop has is a 1440P QHD camera with built-in dual-microphone support. In addition to providing Wi-Fi connectivity and various port options that include four USB Type-A ports, Type-C ports and HDMI. Other features available on both include Copilot AI Companion, Intel Unison Software and optional WiFi-7 connectivity with Bluetooth LE.
Acer DA1 And Nitro GA1 Series (Google TV)
Both the Acer DA1 and Nitro GA1 series come with Google TV support. Also allows users to have access to a number of popular applications such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, HBO Max, YouTube and Google Cast in one screen. All of them are also equipped with the MultiView function that users can take advantage of to carry out multiple tasks at one time. Both are also available in two sizes, namely 31.5″ and 27″, but differ in terms of resolution support. The Acer DA271K and DA321QK models have a 4K UHD resolution, while the Nitro GA271U P and Nitro GA321QU P offer a WQHD 180Hz resolution.
Also on display is their range of smart electric bikes namely ebii and Predator e-bike. Also followed are two new router devices, the Acer Wave 7 which offers the latest Wi-Fi 7 technology to provide wide and reliable coverage for large homes with multiple devices. Meanwhile, Predator Connect W6x uses Wi-Fi 6 connectivity with a focus on fast performance for a smooth first experience.
