Blackmagic Camera Can Now Be Downloaded By Android Users

Last year, Blackmagic Design, the company behind professional cameras for film production and DaVinci Resolve editing software, launched a free camera app for the iPhone. It offers professional controls to perform various recording modes. Two months ago, Blackmagic revealed that the application for Android will be offered and now it is ready to download for those who are interested.

Blackmagic took their professional camera interface design and integrated it into the app version. Integration to Blackmagic Cloud for easier data transfer, backup and editing directly into DaVinci is also supported. With this app control changes FPS, shutter angle, white balance, ISO and more everything can be done easily.

When the recording work is being done, the screen can also display recording status such as histogram, focus level, frame assistance or even vertical device but want to record 16:9 ratio is also allowed. More interestingly, this Blackmagic Camera is offered for free without any payment or subscription. Only for now, it is only supported on select Samsung and Google Pixel devices such as the latest flagship models and last year's flagship models.
