ChromeOS Is Now Developed With Android Overlay To Bring AI Features

ChromeOS has been around for 13 years as an operating system for computers by Google. Because it is under the Google umbrella, Android support is provided to create a comprehensive ecosystem. To make it easier to bring the features of Android to ChromeOS, this operating system will begin to be developed using more Android stacks (Android Stack).

Through this initiative, ChromeOS will start using the Android Linux kernel and the Android framework as the basis of the operating system. This allows more AI features like Gemini to be introduced on the operating system later. Previously ChromeOS only shared the same bluetooth actions with Android.

Since 2015 we have heard reports that Google wants to combine Android and ChromeOS through projects like Fuchsia. But its development has long been abandoned. Today's announcement may not be necessary if Google continues to produce one operating system for all as originally planned.
