Gigabyte AI TOP 100E SSD Comes With 219 Thousand Terabyte Data Writing Endurance

SSD storage now typically comes with very fast data read and write speeds, and combined with high storage volumes, but depending on how you use your computer, the lifespan of an SSD is typically 4-5 years depending on its data write endurance. .

Recently, GIGABYTE has shown their PCIe Gen 4 SSD offering called GIGABYTE AI TOP 100E. In terms of storage offerings, this SSD comes with a choice of 1TB and 2TB storage with data writing rates of 5900MB/s to 6500MB/s and data reading rates of 7000MB/s to 7200MB/s depending on the storage size.

The uniqueness of this SSD comes from the level of data writing durability, where the 1TB model has a data writing durability of 109,500 TBW (Terabyte Write) while the 2TB model comes with a data writing durability of 219,000 TBW. For example, it's like this SSD writes data at a rate of 2TB every second for 17 hours a day for five years.

When compared to one of the best PCIe 4 SSD storage on the market, the Samsung SSD 990 Pro, GIGABYTE says that their AI TOP 100E SSD has 183 times better durability than Samsung's offering.

They also say that although this SSD is not marketed as an enterprise storage option, it can be used for various types of tasks such as machine learning, artificial intelligence data processing and also for long-term gaming without problems.

For now, it is not known yet when GIGABYTE will present this SSD offering.
