Google has today distributed a new Feature Drop update to Pixel users. This update adds a Lookup feature to find phone numbers from unknown callers. This feature continues to be built into the Google Phone application.
On this application in the recent call section, every phone call history will be displayed. For received calls, below the number there is now a person icon with a magnifying glass named Lookup. After pressing, the phone number will continue to be searched in the Google search engine without the user having to copy and paste to another application or use a third-party application.
Since most Android devices have started using the Google Phone app for phone calls, it is uncertain if this feature will be expanded to all Android devices or will remain exclusive to the Pixel Fold and Pixel 6 devices only. What do you think of this new feature?
