Say goodbye to the awkwardness of having your Likes exposed to all on X/Twitter. Starting today X hides user Likes from view. This feature was originally only available to X Premium subscribers but was given free for privacy reasons.
Only the account owner can see personal Likes after this. The ability to see who did Likes on a certain page is also no longer visible, with only the owner of the page being able to see who Likes their content.
Although X said the feature was given to everyone for privacy reasons, speculation arose that it was to ensure that certain accounts would not be shamed for liking content with controversial or adult content. There have been several cases of account owners having to apologize or lose their jobs because their Likes are exposed to all.
