Micron Reportedly Wants To Increase HBM Memory Manufacturing Capability In Malaysia



Micron, the leading memory component developer from the United States has today been reported to want to expand their market share by introducing more memory offerings, and most recently, it seems to include HBM memory offerings.


Micron in the United States has already started building a test production line and is reportedly in discussions to use their factory in Penang, Malaysia to manufacture these HBM memory chips.


It is part of Micron's strategy to triple their market share of HBM memory, with an estimated 25 percent of the global HBM memory market, similar to the current market share for DRAM memory.
