Microsoft today made a surprise, and announced that it will end the offering of GPT Builder effective July 10, 2024. Microsoft did not give the main reason behind the removal of the feature, other than to say that it wanted to focus on the CoPilot core product experience only.
Previously, the GPT Builder feature was introduced to make it easier for people to create GPTs or special chatbots under CoPilot, with special features. This at once led to the creation of several chatbots that allow users to carry out specific optimized functions.
Parallel to the termination of this GPT Builder, Microsoft also said it will remove all GPTs produced - including related data. This comprehensive process of termination and removal will be completed before July 14, 2024.
