Motorola Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra Launch With Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, IPX8 And Moto AI



Motorola has today launched two of their flip phones, the Motorola Razr 2024 and the Motorola Razr+ 2024. Both of these devices have more or less the same specifications and are seen as potentially competitive competitors to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6.



Both devices use a 6.9-inch LTPO OLED 165Hz screen with a brightness of 3000 nits. Motorola also offers a Microsoft Recall-like feature called Remember This that takes a screenshot of the screen and generates details for the user using generative AI. This new AI feature is gathered under Moto AI which also has a catch me up feature that summarizes user notifications and is intelligent in listening to voice commands.


Motorola Razr+ 2024


This device is a flagship model with a 4-inch external screen that is 17% larger than last year. This external screen has also been optimized for use with Google Gemini. Motorola also promises a deep screen with less creases and now has IPX8 protection. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip, equipped with a 50MP main + 50MP 2x telephoto camera and a 32MP selfie camera. The device's battery is 4000mAh with 45W fast charging.


Motorola Razr 2024


This device is their mid-range model. The external screen is 3.6-inches which is larger than 1.5-inches compared to the previous model. Like the Razr+, the Gemini has also been optimized for the device's external screen. For the chip, this device is powered by Dimensity 7300X, the battery is 4200mAh with 30W charging and the camera is 50MP main + 13MP ultra-wide angle with a 32MP selfie camera.


Motorola Razr+ and Razr 2024 are only sold in selected European countries, the United States, Canada and China under the name Razr 50 Ultra/Razr 50. The selling price of the Razr+ for 12/512 GB is $999 (~RM4705), while the Razr 8/256 GB is $699 (~RM3292).
