The Netflix application will no longer be usable on Apple TV Gen and Apple TV Gen 3 starting July 31. Support for these two sets of TV boxes is discontinued as both are old with Gen 2 launched in 2010 and Gen 3 in 2012. Owners of both devices are advised to purchase newer hardware that will still be supported.
We report this news because we often see the dumping of obsolete products sold on social media at a collapsed price. People are fooled by the ads of Apple's discounted products but they don't realize that it is no longer supported by various applications and in some cases by Apple itself. Be a smart user and do your own research before falling for an ad that doesn't seem to fit the offer.
