Acer has announced the addition of new models to its line of TravelMate business laptops powered by the latest processors along with advanced features at Computex 2024. They include built-in AI capabilities, robust security solutions and efficient management for business.
Acer TravelMate P6 14 (P614-73)
First is the Acer TravelMate P6 14 (P614-73) which uses a 14-inch OLED touch screen with WQXGA+ resolution (2880 x 1800) and an aspect ratio of 16:10. It also passes the 100% DCI-P3 color standard and VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 500 for a more immersive viewing experience. In addition to being equipped with chips up to Intel Core Ultra 7, Intel Arc Graphics, memory up to 32 GB LPDDR5X SDRAM, storage up to 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD and a 65Wh battery. The Travel P6 14 is also equipped with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3 along with comprehensive I/O options including two Thunderbolt 4, USB-A 3.2 (Gen 1), HDMI 2.0 and a microSD card reader.
TravelMate P4 Spin 14 (P414RN-54)
Next is the TravelMate P4 Spin 14 (P414RN-54) which is a laptop that can be folded to be a tablet. At the same time, it allows users to easily switch between tasks and different modes. A 14-inch IPS WUXGA (1920 X 1200) touch screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio is used for a fairly good visual experience. Followed by chip support up to Intel Core Ultra 7 with matching Intel Graphics and Intel vPro Enterprise built-in for more adequate performance.
It is also supported with 64 GB DDR5 SDRAM memory, up to 1 TB PCIe SSD storage and a 65Wh battery. Also followed by 4G LTE connection options, Wi-Fi 6E Wireless LAN and Bluetooth 5.3 as a complement. The I/O option consists of two USB Type-C (Thunderbolt 4), two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, HDMI 2.0 and a microSD card reader.
Acer TravelMate P4 16
The Acer TravelMate P4 16 is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor with Intel vPro Enterprise. It is also supported with Intel Unison, 64 GB DDR5 SDRAM memory, up to 1 TB PCIe SSD storage and a 53Wh battery. Also followed is a 16-inch WUXGA (1920×1200) display with a peak brightness of 400nits and 100% sRGB color. The TravelMate P4 16 is also equipped with Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 along with comprehensive I/O options including two USB Type-C (Thunderbolt 4), two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, HDMI 2.0 and a microSD card reader.
Acer TravelMate P4 16
Last but not least is the Acer TravelMate P4 14. It is the only new TravelMate laptop announced with an AMD Ryzen PRO 8040 CPU, and is only offered for the European market. It offers up to four different CPU options which include Ryzen 3 8840U and Ryzen 5 PRO 8540U (without Ryzen AI), followed by Ryzen 5 PRO 8640U and Ryzen 7 PRO 8840U.

Also supported on the laptop is 64GB DDR5 RAM memory, up to 1TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD storage and a 65Wh battery. The included 14-inch display has touch capability with a matching resolution of 1920 X 1200 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:10. The TravelMate P4 14 is also equipped with Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 along with I/O options that include two USB Type-C (Thunderbolt 4), two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, HDMI 2.0 and a microSD card reader.
All of the new TravelMate line comes with new AI features such as Acer TravelMateSense for quick access to device settings. Through it users can optimize, customize and access the support system on the laptop with just one key button.
There is also a built-in copilot button on the keyboard that provides suggestions and help for various tasks. Each new model also comes with Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0, biometric security options and a camera privacy shutter to protect sensitive data.
All products will be marketed from Q3 and Q4 2024 with sales prices varying by region.
