Grab Family Account can now be used in Malaysia. This feature allows a family head to pay fares for all family members included in the Family Account. We noticed this feature yesterday when a notification suddenly appeared in the app. Previously as far as we know, the Family Account was offered to users in Singapore only from December 2023.
To use Family Account please go to the account settings screen. Under the username will appear the option to create a Family Account. Then you can add family members by entering their Grab account phone numbers or send invitations through various messaging apps such as WhatsApp and SMS.
The head of the family Family Account can not only track family members when they use Grab's ride hailing service. There is also a chat feature with the Grab driver if the vehicle is being ridden by a child. Family Account currently only supports payment for Grab ride calls and does not yet support payment for other Grab services such as Mart and Food. Please update your Grab app today to use cir Family Account.
