The Discord application can technically be used by Sony PlayStation 5 console users for a long time, but to participate in a voice or video call, it is a bit clumsy because previously you still had to use the application on a smart device to access the feature.
Recently, Discord and Sony have teamed up to allow PlayStation 5 console owners to join voice calls more quickly and easily. With the latest Discord app update, you just need to go to the Discord app menu, select any server you're joining, and then enter any voice call channel that has other members, and join it instantly.
In fact, if someone makes a voice call through Discord to you, you can join the call immediately without any problems. Discord says that this voice calling update will roll out in stages by region.
Asia, Europe, New Zealand and Middle East regions will receive this update first. The American region will reportedly be among the last to receive this update, and for now Discord has yet to announce when it will be introduced for that region.
