Samsung Will Invest In The Development Of GPU Technology For Its Own Use

Samsung seems to be in a new phase where they want to improve their ability to manufacture the most effective semiconductor chips on the market today.

Several reports have surfaced recently about a "GPU Investment Proposal" that shows that Samsung will invest some money to research the development of graphics technology, although for now there are no specific details about it.

However, these reports also say that these GPUs will be used to develop lithography technology and also efficiency in their own semiconductor chip production factories.

The use of graphic processing technology can be used in the factory simulation process to see how it will operate digitally first using a technology called digital twin or Digital Twin.

The benefit of using this digital twin is that companies can optimize the location of equipment, reduce the use of electricity, water and so on by using digital simulation before the equipment is physically installed. It also helps companies reduce operational and development costs, and even repair simulations can be used to estimate when factory equipment needs to be serviced and repaired before it breaks down.

The same reports say that Samsung is most likely not going to develop graphics technology for use in consumer devices such as smart devices, laptops and so on. Their focus for now is to increase productivity and semiconductor chip production in their factories.
