Shopee is now seen to have updated their website, at the same time no longer allowing users to browse or access the product page, if not logged into the Shopee account.
This is different from before which allows anyone to access the product page and see the product offering on Shopee. Even opening the product page, the user is taken to the login page after a few seconds. This new change may be present in an effort to increase the number of users, in addition to the possibility of obtaining more data regarding the behavior of users on the e-commerce platform.
For now, from our monitoring and usage, this change has started to be activated among Shopee users through desktop web browsers.
