SoftBank is now reportedly looking to invest in an artificial intelligence service that also integrates search support, called Perplexity AI. The artificial intelligence firm is valued at around $3 billion, and SoftBank is expected to invest around $10 million to $20 million through it.
For now, it is reported that this injection of new investment funds is still in the discussion stage, and there may be changes to the terms.
Perplexity previously positioned itself as a competitor in the search arena, in addition to being present with support for generating pages for a topic powered by artificial intelligence. However, it is also involved in various matters involving copyright that are still unanswered until now.
For information, previously Perplexity was ready to receive an injection of investment funds from NVIDIA and also Jeff Bezos.
