Sony PlayStation VR2 Can Be Used On PC Starting August 7th

Owners of Sony PlayStation VR2 can use their virtual reality set on PC starting next August 7 through an adapter that will be sold by Sony. Through it PC VR games can be accessed through the Steam store on PS VR2.

While support for VR games via Steam is provided, not all PS VR2 features that exist on PS5 are supported on PC. First of all the Adaptive Trigger on the controller cannot be used as it can only provide haptic vibrations. HDR support, haptic feedback on the headset, and eye tracking are also not supported. This is because all these features are developed specifically for PS5 only.

The PS VR2 adapter for PC sells for $59.99 (~RM283) each. Owners should also purchase a cable that supports DisplayPort 1.4 separately. The minimum specifications to use PS VR2 on PC are as below.
