Astro now shared that their streaming service called Sooka has already reached more than one registered user. At this time, it is unknown how many paying customers there are for Sooka. Astro simply shared that Sooka showed an 86% year-on-year increase in the number of paid subscribers.
Sooka was previously launched last year in 2021, and offers video streaming services as well as subscriptions to access a number of exclusive content. Astro also highlighted that Sooka is the only streaming application that offers live sports coverage, including EURO2024. This also allows sports fans to also get the content they are interested in through the platform, in addition to movies and TV series.
For this year as well, Sooka has launched a connector to the television, called the Sooka TV Stick. In addition, Astro also works with a number of partners, including Maxis, Hotlink, UMobile, CelcomDigi, Haier, LG, Hisense, Toshiba, Touch 'n Go, Zalora, and also Tealive for this Sooka offering.
