The Honor 200 series will go on sale in Malaysia as early as this month

Today Honor Malaysia has announced their latest devices in the mid-range, the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro. Despite being in the middle class, it comes with interesting specifications including built-in AI functions.

Both variants bring the AI Matrix camera function that highlights the camera that can produce portrait photos with the same quality and production as in a studio. This is achieved through a 50MP main camera equipped with the Professional Harcourt Portrait Mode function. With this function, the recorded image will be optimized by providing more detail in the face, and also provides bokeh that is appropriate to the lighting and the exact color tone of the face. This collaboration with Harcourt is a portrait photography studio from France, to improve the portrait photography algorithm used in the Honor AI Portrait Engine.

The camera system used is a 50MP Sony IMX 856 telephoto camera, a 12MP wide-angle camera that is also equipped with OIS and EIS and a 50MP selfie camera. As for the Honor 200, it uses a 50MP Sony IMX 906 1/1.56-inch main camera while the Honor 200 Pro uses a 50MP H9000 1/1.3-inch main camera. This camera difference provides AI Natural Tone 2.0 and AI Motion Sensing functions special to Honor 200 Pro.

For now there are no pre-orders and no official announcement regarding the price, but it is expected to go on sale as early as this month.
