Windows Recall Feature Will Not Be Enabled By Default

The Windows Recall feature was announced a few weeks ago with it remembering all the activities done by the owner. With artificial intelligence (AI), Recall can find the information that users need. However, Recall received criticism because it was claimed that it could cause security issues as banking information taps or deleted messages are still stored by the system.

With the Recall feature criticized by security experts, Microsoft has announced some changes to ease user concerns. First of all Recall will not be activated by default. a can only be used after manually activated. The second is that to use Recall, identity verification using Windows Hello must be done first.

The recall will begin to be given to Copilot+ PCs on June 18. At this point only Windows 11 computers with Snapdragon X Elite and X Plus chips can use Recall because it requires a powerful NPU.
