X has now announced that they will soon start limiting the live video streaming feature on their platform, exclusively for paid customers and subscribed to the Premium plan only. This will require anyone who wants to live stream on the platform to make a payment, before being able to use the feature.
This also changes how the video streaming feature will be used on the X platform. For now, more or less the same feature is offered for free on Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Twitch – thus leading to the question of whether users need to pay specifically for the feature.
It was not informed as to why this policy change occurred. In addition to this live video streaming, paid subscribers also receive access to longer article writing, fewer ad displays, and several other additional features.
X Premium is offered at a subscription price starting at RM35 per month.
