Xbox Keystone Streaming Console Design Revealed – Sadly Cancelled

Microsoft and the idea for a unique device parted ways. Such is the story when a design document for a "streaming" console for a new Xbox console was shown, which was given the name "Keystone".

This Xbox Keystone comes with a very compact design, with a width of only 15cm. The internal specifications of the console are unknown, but according to Phil Spencer, CEO of Xbox, the console was developed for the purpose of playing through the Xbox Game Pass streaming service. No details have been given as to whether the console will support disc usage, but there is a circular space at the top of the console that looks like it can hold some type of media such as a compact disc.

In terms of inputs, it is seen that this console will come with an HDMI plug, an RJ-45 plug for wired internet connection, and also a power plug. Unfortunately, Phil Spencer also seems to confirm that this Xbox "Keystone" is a product that will not come to market, because this product is no longer being developed.

This is seen in line with the possibility that the Xbox Series X and Series S may be the last physical consoles to be released by Xbox, who seem to have shifted their focus to the development of their computer and video game subscription services.
