One of the reasons why many professionals prefer using Apple products is because of the very user-friendly ecosystem. Microsoft is trying to make this feature universal with Phone Link supporting both Android and iOS devices. Most recently, users will be allowed to access phone files directly through File Explorer on Windows.
For now, Phone Link only allows users to access photos and videos. In addition, it is limited to viewing notifications, replying to messages, answering phone calls, or on Samsung devices that support hotspot mode and become a web camera. This new feature will allow users to place the device in File Explorer and make it easier to access files such as copy, paste or move something.
For now it is still uncertain when this feature will be distributed to all users. Also not sure is whether this feature is limited to Samsung devices or can be used by all Android devices that start supporting Phone Link officially.
