I haven't used Pinterest for years because I'm used to jotting down ideas using only the notes app. Pinterest was developed as a visual search engine, where all search results can be pinned in a digital board. Each of these boards can then be shared or locked to yourself only. Many people use Pinterest as a place to find ideas, a place to store ambitions and much more. Most recently, Pinterest can now easily generate videos.
Every board on Pinterest or Board can now be generated into a short video to share to social media. In this new update, generated videos can be edited before downloading or can also be directly shared as Instagram Stories. Interestingly, when directly shared to Instagram – a sticker with a link to view the Pinterest board is also provided directly.
One of the reasons why Pinterest offers this feature is because they find that many Pinterest users take screenshots of their boards and share them to social media. This trend is known as mecore and as many as 585% of searches for this trend are done annually. To date there have been over 10 billion Pinterest boards created and they are now ready to be shared by all users in the form of videos.
