The most interesting thing about using Apple devices is the ecosystem. Each device is very friendly to communicate with other devices facilitating various daily tasks. More or less the same feature for Android is also offered by Samsung and Huawei but what about other Android devices? The answer with Android Cross-Device.
This feature has actually been introduced since 2022 but for Android devices only Google Pixel and Chromebook are supported. The new update allows all Android 11 and above devices to answer phone calls from one device to another and share Internet data through the fast hotspot feature.
To answer this phone call, it is still limited to video calls through Google Meet only. This feature is Call casting, where a video call on one device can then be broadcast to the screen of another device.
Next is Internet sharing which is Internet sharing. When you have two or more of one Android device with the same Google account, Internet data on the Pixel 8 Pro for example can be shared to the Oppo Find N3. This feature however is not supported on Samsung devices as it already supports auto-hotspot.
This feature appears to be still in testing through Google Play Services 24.28.34. It will probably be distributed to all users soon and after this Android users will no longer have to be jealous of Apple's closed ecosystem because Android Cross-Device supports all Android devices as long as they have Google Play.
