Apple iPhone X, HomePod And First Generation AirPods Are Now Categorized As Obsolete

I know there are still many people who are loyal to the iPhone X. Unfortunately, Apple has classified this device as obsolete (obselete/vintage). The iPhone X was launched in November 2017, the first time Apple introduced three different models at the same time. This iPhone also no longer receives updates with the last version being iOS 16.

In addition to the iPhone X, Apple also added two more devices in this obsolete category, namely the first generation AirPods and the first generation HomePod. AirPods were first introduced in 2016 and discontinued in 2019. While HomePod was launched in 2017 and discontinued in 2021. With the device already included in the obsolete category, Apple will no longer issue spare parts and offer any customer support services.

For those interested in devices like iPhone X, iPhone XR/XS/XS Max are still receiving the iOS 18 update. Then in Malaysia, HomePod and HomePod Mini have also been sold with prices starting at RM529. If you are interested in AirPods, the second generation model is still sold at RM629, while the third generation with MagSafe is priced at RM829.
