Apple TV+ Also Looks Like It Will Offer Ad-Supported Plans

Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon offer ad-supported plans offered at a lower price. In Netflix's case, 45% of their new customers choose an ad-supported plan. After this it is possible that Apple TV+ will also offer the same plan.

According to The Telegraph report, Apple held a meeting with BARB which is the body that counts the total number of viewers of shows shown by the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, and Sky. This is seen as the first step before offering an advertising plan in the UK as Apple needs audience data before ads can be offered to customers

As reported last week, Apple is currently in the process of cutting costs after spending $20 billion in 5 years but still has a low audience. Apple TV+'s monthly viewership is reportedly lower than Netflix's daily viewership.

So far only a few countries accept plans with Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon ads. If this Apple TV+ plan is launched later, it is most likely that it will not be given to Malaysian customers
