After the Apple Watch SE was launched, it arguably changed the smartwatch market. It runs watchOS among the best and is sold at an affordable price. Recently, Samsung also launched the much cheaper Galaxy Watch FE and there are reports that Apple wants to offer a cheaper Apple Watch as well.
The Apple Watch SE was last launched in 2022. A new model is also expected to arrive this year and Bloomberg reports that Apple is planning a cheaper Apple Watch. Apple is said to want to use a plastic frame for the Apple Watch SE. We all know smartwatches made of plastic have no problem being durable and premium. Many Apple products are also made of plastic such as AirPods for example, still look premium.
Apple Watch SE can still be purchased at a price starting at RM1,199. If the plastic version of the Apple Watch SE is introduced we may potentially see a cheaper selling price. Let's wait together.
