Bing Search Also Now Provides Search Results With AI Summaries

Bing is now starting to offer search results generated by artificial intelligence (AI) similar to the AI Overview feature previously introduced by Google Search. When a search is performed, the search results in the form of an AI generated summary will be placed at the top with other links placed below it.

In the summary will be placed a link to several pages that are deemed relevant to the search made by the user. While there are still links to websites, Bing says it will still generate clicks for information source site owners to maintain the existing ecosystem. To generate answers, Microsoft uses a large language model (LLM) as well as a small language model (SLM) to provide more accurate search results.

Bing says the feature is rolling out to a small number of users starting today. We are among those who have access and found that in addition to English, it also supports questions given in Malay.
