Canceled First Generation Google Pixel Fold Leaked

It's no surprise that details and images of the first-generation Google Pixel Fold prototype have been scrapped. Everyone knows that the Pixel Fold was launched later than the competition and Google has tried many times to succeed in their folding phone project. The details of the leaked Pixel Fold are seen to have a lot in common with the Pixel 6.

The existence of this prototype is also not a secret because Ivy Ross, the head of Google's product design, revealed it last year. The canceled Pixel Fold uses two code names namely pipit and passport as two different projects which are then combined into one, pipit. Clearly, this Pixel Fold uses the design of the Pixel 6 camera bar instead of the camera bump like the Pixel 7 Pro.

The overall design of the device is more or less the same as the current Pixel Fold, which follows the concept of the Oppo Find N. The canceled first-generation Pixel Fold is powered by the Tensor G2 chip, uses the same Sony IMX363 camera as the Pixel 3, and also supports a stylus. This Pixel Fold also has a smaller size but the same screen size as the current Pixel Fold.

The device was canceled because it allegedly did not meet the standards that Google wanted. Although the Pixel Fold is not a perfect folding phone, the concept presented is interesting enough that many people bought it in Malaysia at a price of over RM9000. What do you think about the Pixel Fold?
