CelcomDigi is now sharing progress on their network modernization and integration efforts, stating that it has now surpassed the 50% mark – showing that the figure was achieved earlier than expected.
Previously, CelcomDigi targeted network modernization and integration efforts expected to take around three years. With the rate of upgrades now happening faster, CelcomDigi aims to achieve a 75% network upgrade rate by the end of 2024.
CelcomDigi stated that this will make them have the most modern infrastructure network in Malaysia, while also positioning them as one of the companies capable of developing the second 5G network in Malaysia.
CelcomDigi has shared the network integration efforts between Celcom and Digi as a result of the merger, in addition to the network modernization efforts leading to higher network speed rates, in addition to improved network coverage strength.
We will probably see the full integration of the Celcom and Digi networks, including the modernization of these networks reaching 100% in early 2025.
