The government previously announced that it will use 5G technology for the live broadcast of the SUKMA 2024 event. In parallel, now Celcom, U Mobile and ZTE have announced that they have collaborated and will broadcast the SUKMA 2024 event live using 5G-Advanced technology.
These three parties will work together to broadcast the opening event on 17 August 2024 later from Sarawak Stadium, through RTM. With this step, it will simultaneously demonstrate the ability to use 5G-Advanced for live broadcast events on a large scale.
Previously, during the testing phase, they had used mmWave AAU technology by ZTE in providing network capacity, in addition to using it in streaming management. This technology is also said to be able to support capacity beyond 30Gbps on each cell, at the same time providing a good experience to users of B2B or B2C services.
With this healthy development, let's all look forward to the live broadcast of SUKMA 2024 on 17 August 2024, which will be the first broadcast in Malaysia through 5G-Advanced technology.
