Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 were launched yesterday with some exciting new Galaxy AI features. These features will also be provided on other Samsung devices depending on the capabilities of the processor chip. As with the Galaxy S24 series of the day, the Galaxy AI on these two new foldable screen devices also appears to be free only until the end of 2025.
This is confirmed through a footnote placed by Samsung on the product page. Until now Samsung has not yet given the final word on whether this service will continue to be free or what is the monthly subscription plan that needs to be paid for. The majority of AI features such as Sketch to Image and Portrait Studio require an internet connection and this certainly costs Samsung. Samsung partnered with Google to offer their Galaxy AI capabilities on both of these features.
Samsung says the Galaxy AI feature will be provided to 200 million devices by the end of 2024. So far Galaxy AI is only supported on the flagship devices of the Galaxy S series, Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold.
