Google Gemini Can Now Answer Questions When the Device Screen is Locked

It's been months since Google Gemini's generative AI chatbot arrived on Android devices. In fact, it also suggests users to replace Google Assistant with Gemini. Most recently after Gemini was updated with support for basic Google Assistant voice commands, it can now answer some questions while the device's screen is still locked. This gives users the freedom to get brief information quickly.

Gemini on Android devices can be accessed the same way Google Assistant is accessed, either through a gesture from the bottom of the screen up or by pressing and holding the power button for a few seconds. Now on Android devices, when the screen is locked users can call Gemini by pressing and holding the power button or with the keyword "Hey, Google". It will answer some simple questions like weather, date, or non-sensitive information search. Just press the text space to type, the device will ask the user to unlock first.

Are you going to take advantage of this feature or are you still unhappy with Google seemingly forcing people to switch Assistant to Gemini?
