Google Gemini seems to have to rely on various plugins for it to function more like Google Assistant. For example plugins such as YouTube Music, Google Maps or Google Workspace. Recently Android Authority reported that Gemini will add even more plugins.
These plugins are Phone, Google Home and Ultilities. Phone allows users to use voice commands to make phone calls like Google Assistant before. Then Google Home will allow users to use voice commands faster so that the Gemini who did the command earlier is not Gemini calling out for Google Assistant. Last but not least is Ultilities which allow the user to control any device settings or open any other application.
For now it is still in testing and has not been distributed to everyone. With this plugin, Gemini, which has replaced Google Assistant, will be smoother so that you don't have to switch between virtual assistants.
