Google Gives Dark Web Monitoring Features To All Users

Google One customers in select countries receive a dark web report feature that Google scans to check if their personal data has been leaked. Google recently stated that the dark web report is no longer limited to Google One customers but given to all Google users.

This Google dark web report checks the names, addresses, phone numbers and emails of users who may have been leaked. Google will then notify the user either via email or the user can check for themselves on the Results about you page. According to Google this feature is for users to understand cyber threats as well as to protect users when active online.

For now, the Results about you and Dark web report features are only offered to 46 countries such as Indonesia, South Korea, Taiwan, Spain and others starting at the end of July. Google did not say whether this feature will be expanded to other countries or why it is only limited to selected countries. In my opinion this is a good additional feature along with the Safety Check built into Chrome. what do you say
