Google Photos Adds Document Feature to Web Version

Google has improved the functionality and features of Google Photos in their web version with the addition of the 'Documents' feature that was previously available on Android and iOS. Although this feature has been available since last November in the mobile app, Google is only now adding the feature to the web version.

This feature is placed together with previously available features such as Favorites, Albums, Utilities, Archives, Locked Folder and Trash on the left side of the Google Photos interface on the web version. There are several document categories available, namely Screenshots, Books & Magazines, Event Information, Identity, Notes, Payment Menthods, Receipts, Recipes & Menus and Social.

The addition of this feature is seen as useful by allowing the photos taken to be divided by category and making it easier for users to search and find the photos again if necessary.
