Apple is one of the companies that values privacy so much that even phone calls cannot be recorded. This is different from Google and other Android devices because only in 2022, voice call recording apps will be banned. With the era of generative artificial intelligence taking center stage, phone call recording features can now generate transcriptions – voice call recording features are back.
For iPhone, this feature is provided through iOS 18. While on Android, specifically for Pixel devices the Call Notes feature will be provided. It uses the same concept of recording a phone call and the AI will generate a transcription for the user's reference. It's like a feature on the Recorder application that has been supporting more or less the same features for years.
The phone call technology on the Pixel is great like Pixel Call Assist which can help answer calls or filter to not answer scammer calls. This feature will also usually be limited to certain countries and not given to Malaysia. It is expected that if this feature is stable, Google will give it to Samsung users for the global level.
