Good news for those of you who are looking for a scholarship to continue your studies at a higher level. Grab now offers scholarships and financial assistance to more than 300 primary and secondary school students throughout Malaysia. This initiative named GrabScholar was created to provide financial support to cover tuition fees and living costs of students throughout the study period. Next, it is hoped to help them learn more comfortably.
Apart from the financial assistance, Grab described the initiative as one of the best investments for the country's future in an effort to produce a knowledgeable generation. This program organized by Grab also got cooperation with the involvement of two strategic partners namely Yayasan Tunku Abdul Rahman (YTAR) and GoBarakah which is also divided into several loan sections. First is the full GrabScholar scholarship which includes full tuition fees, monthly living allowance, annual professional development allowance, one-time allowance for purchases such as laptops and a two-year leadership development program.
This application is open to all students who are undertaking the first year of a master's degree program at any local university in Malaysia. In addition to those who have just completed a pre-university program with a conditional offer subject to acceptance of a study offer from a university recognized by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). The study course should be related to Business, STEM (not medicine), or Sustainability. There are no specific academic criteria to apply for this scholarship program, however selected candidates are required to maintain a CGPA of 3.0 throughout the scholarship program.
Second is the GrabScholar Bursary which is open to families with a household income of RM4,500 and below with a one-time allowance of RM220 provided through e-vouchers for the purchase of goods for educational purposes. Both GrabScholar Full Scholarships and GrabScholar Bursaries are open to the general public, Grab friends, and immediate family members of Grab friends as long as they are Malaysian citizens.
