Intel Discontinues Production of the Comet Lake Series of 10th Generation Processing Chips

With a number of new launches made by Intel with the launch of several processing chips that have already happened and will happen in the next few months, Intel has also made an announcement about the cessation of production of their existing processing chips.

Intel's 10th generation Comet Lake processor chip series that has been phased out since the end of last year started with the flashable Comet Lake-K processor chip series. Now, the production of the entire Intel Comet Lake chip series of processing chips has been stopped according to a notice issued by Intel itself.

This includes the 10th generation Intel Core i3 to Intel Core i7 processor chip series up to Intel Pentium Gold G6000, Intel Celeron G5000 series and also Intel Xeon W-1250.

In the meantime, along with this, Intel also announced that they will no longer manufacture the Intel Core i9-12900KS processing chip and also the Intel Core i9-12900KS Special Edition which can be overclocked to 6.0GHz. It is reported that the demand for this chip will end in January 2025 and its sales will be completely stopped by July 2025.

With the discontinuation of the Comet Lake series of processing chips, it means that Intel will no longer produce processing chips built using their 14nm++ process after using it for so long.
