It's Xiaomi 15 Pro's turn to support a camera with variable aperture

Camera support with variable aperture was first popularized by Samsung on the Galaxy S9. After Samsung stopped using it, it is now popular among Chinese device manufacturers such as vivo, Huawei or Xiaomi. Most recently after this technology was limited to the Xiaomi Ultra model, it will be brought to the Pro model for the Xiaomi 15.

Xiaomi 15 Pro according to Digital Chat Station will have three cameras from the 50 Megapixel sensor. The main sensor for wide angle is said to be from OmniVision which is the OV50K which is said to be their most powerful output sensor. It supports HDR 120/60 FPS video recording, supports variable aperture, OIS and also good night picture capabilities. Xiaomi will use a variable aperture of f/1.4 – f/2.5 compared to the Xiaomi 14 Ultra with f/1.4 – f/4.0.

It is also rumored that Xiaomi will likely continue to work with Sony for a new IMX8 sensor dedicated to telephoto 5x optical zoom. The Leica Summilux lens will also be retained on this device. For now there is still no news and more details about the presence of this device. We may see the existence of the Xiaomi 14T series first before the Xiaomi 15. Let's all look forward to it.
