Compact computer design is nothing new, where it can be seen that a computer can be designed in a frame the size of a matchbox. Recently, a technology company from China, Ling Long has introduced a computer inside a foldable keyboard.
This prototype computer, which does not have a name so far, is powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 8840U processing chip, with a memory option of 16GB or 32GB with internal storage of 512GB or 1TB.
The design of this keyboard is seen to resemble a 60% sized keyboard, and comes with a foldable design, and according to Ling Long, it is compact enough to fit in the back pocket of your pants.
In terms of plugs, it comes with a USB 4.0 Type-C plug for 100W charging support, one USB 3.2 Type-C plug and one USB 3.0 Type-A plug. Technically, you can connect this keyboard computer to a screen using a USB-DisplayPort cable, but Ling Long says the best way to use this computer is to use AR or VR glasses of your choice.
This computer is also loaded with a 60Wh battery which Ling Long says can last for 10 hours with normal use such as surfing the web and doing office tasks. If you want to use this computer to watch videos or movies, the battery life is seen to be around 6 hours, and lower if you play computer games with it.
It also comes with support for WiFi 6 and Bluetooth wireless networks for easy wireless device connection. So far, it is not known yet when they will sell these computers on a large scale. For now, this keyboard computer is only available through small sales of 200 units, depending on memory and storage capacity.
