Max is a new generation video streaming platform to HBO Max which was launched in April last year. Max until today is limited in the European, United States, Latin American and Carribean markets only. For Southeast Asian markets such as Malaysia, Warner only offers HBO GO. In the future this may change.
In my check just now, the Max site is still not supported in Malaysia. Even so, their support service page states that the Max will arrive in the Southeast Asian market this year. No list of countries or subscription prices were disclosed. This use of HBO GO and Max is undeniably confusing, so hopefully if everything is parallelized as one it will be easier.
Representatives of Warner and HBO GO in Malaysia also did not give any information about Max's presence. However, we have heard since last year that Warner is serious about offering Max in Malaysia, but there has been no update until today. In the United States, Max's monthly subscription starts at around RM46.50 per month with ads and there is also a subscription bundle with Disney+. Let's wait together.
